Jungle Themed Baby Shower Invite and Favors

Jungle Themed Baby Shower
I created this Baby Shower Invitation for a shower my friend, Carrie, was throwing for a co-worker.  The invitation was entirely made using "The Cricut Craft Room".  The tags on the wine bottle party prizes were made by welding three cartridge images together.  When I started using "The Cricut Craft Room", I had a new love for my machine that I already thought was so amazing.  Since signing up, I have encouraged so many of my other scrapbook friends, and they too could not be happier.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!
This last week, I was inspired by my own birthday to create a single birthday scrapbook page using multiple mediums.  I used diecuts as my focus and cut out the phrase "Happy Birthday" using my cricut machine.  I thoroughly enjoy using "The Cricut Craft Room" to manipulate the images from my cartridges to create just about anything I want now.  I used an embossing plate to add texture to my candles, and gold stickles to add sparkle to the flames.  I also added "Happy Birthday" ribbon to the pre-made picture slots.  I used embroidery floss as the balloon string and glued everything into place, again using a permanent adhesive called "The Craft Collection - Tombo".  I like how it is a rolling adhesive and quickly gets the job done while still providing the maximum amount of glue and assurance that my page will not fall apart.

Bath and Body Works Wrapped Lotion Caddy
I modified a pattern by Michelle Suit from www.stampinsuitsme.stampinup.net

The pattern is called "Hand Sanitizer".  I decided to add a hand lotion instead of hand sanitizer, because that's what I had on hand.  I have also made a hand sanitizer caddy, but felt compelled to try something new.  I added teacher-like paper with a coordinating button, string, and  a velcro tab to open the caddy.  The lotion can be removed from the side as to not mess up the cute wrapping.

Wrapped Ferrero Rocher Chocolates

Super simple to make.
Material used: 3 Ferrero Rocher Chocolates (I got three in a package at the checkout stand at Walmart.)  One piece of large red tissue paper,  3 brown chenelle sticks (pipe cleaner), tape, and 3 green floral leaves.

I cut down the leaves as to look more appropriate in size to the proportion of the apple, and cut the red paper into 5" x 5" squares. I placed the Ferrero Rocher chocolate onto two 5"x5" pieces of red tissue paper and wrapped at the top.  I then placed a piece of tape as to hold it in place.  The floral leaf had a wire piece at the bottom of it that I tightly wrapped around the tissue paper stem.  I used the brown chenelle stick to wrap the floral leaf stem and the rest of the tissue paper stem and tape.  Very cute and simple.

Pringles Pencil

I got this idea from a link on pinterest.
Go to : Craft Index and it's called "Teacher Size Pencil/Altered Pringles Can"

I think I'm going to give this out to a couple teachers I know.  Way too cute!  I like making life's everyday small items, really big.  It just makes them so much cuter!  I don't think I have ever seen as cute a pencil as this one. I'm thinking of adding the teacher's names on the cans with my favorite Two Peas in a Pod stickers.

Apple Paper Craft
I had so much fun creating this paper craft.  This is another paper craft from www.svgcuts.com.  I'm making several of these this week for Teacher Appreciation Week at my school.  I love how it is large enough for a candle.  I think I'm going to put an assortment of candies in mine.  I like how adding that little bit of texture to the outside makes it look almost good enough to eat.

School House Card

Die Cut School House Card
This was my first card made using my Sure Cuts A Lot program.
I purchased the SVG file from www.svgcuts.com. The entire kit was super cute, and really a lot of fun to create.  I love how easy the assembly was.  It had a lot of little pieces, but took no time at all to finish.  With this card, I was able to use a lot of little scraps from my scrap box to put together the roofs, the tree, the steps, and the bell.  I used Permanent Adhesive from "The Craft Collection - Tombo" to adhere everything together.  I used a glue dot to put the button in place.  I like how the thin piece of twine on top adds just a little bit of umph to the already very cute school house.  Not sure who I'm going to give this one to.  I may just have to make many variations to give out to many teachers. ;)

Paper Strawberries

I made a huge hand-sized paper strawberry.  I stuffed it with 20 pieces of candy and gave them out to the office staff, "Thanks for being so SWEET!"  The ladies have opened their strawberries from the side glued tab, only to keep the strawberries still intact.  They didn't want to mess up the crafty paper creation.  The image was found on Google, under Strawberry Paper Craft.  I enlarged it 125%.

Butterfly Thank You

Thank You Card

Tried to keep this card really simple.

In this card, I used a standard accordion fold. The card measures 3"x4.5" when closed.  I used my favorite Crafty Power Tape Adhesive to stick all the pieces together.  In this card I tried to use many mediums of crafting.  I used a brad to hold the paper flowers in place and used ribbon to offset the patterned paper.  I tried to find a background color that would bring together all the stripes on the patterned paper.  When scrapbooking I tend to use colors that POP!  I like using bright colors, but nothing too crazy. I like how the butterfly hangs on the added extension to the card, almost as if to make it seem as if it is ready to fly off the paper.  I also used a stamp "A great BIG thank you" to finish off the end.

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day Hershey Kiss Clover

I got this idea from a link on Pinterest.  Brenda Quintana has many beautiful paper crafts.
I loved making these.  I made them for all of the staff at my school as well as everyone in my family for St. Patrick's Day.  I made over 75.  I have a tendency of becoming overzealous and excited when in comes to crafting, and sometimes I jump into things way over my head.  My hands are sore and my eyes are tired in the end, but to see everyone so excited about my paper crafts, it's all worth it.

Visit : http://qbeesquest.blogspot.com for more Hershey Kiss Paper Craft ideas.

I plan on trying out a few more of her designs.

Happy Valentine's Day!

You make my heart BEEP faster!
This was the card I had my class create this year for their parents for Valentine's Day!  I had a lot of fun creating this and so did they.  I like the cute crooked eyes!

Christmas Eve Dinner Display

Christmas Fruit Tree
This is the beautiful Christmas Fruit Tree creation my husband and I assembled for my family's gathering.  It took a little over 3.5 hours to put together.  Although it took a long time, and both our feet and backs hurt from standing and being hunched over for so long, it was a beautiful display that everyone enjoyed looking at and eating its delicious fruit.  I love COSTCO fruit, it was super yummy!

Bridal Shower Gift

Kitchen Towel Cake

Items included: 3 kitchen towels, several wooden spoons, ceramic utensil canister, hand and oven  mitt, a notepad for groceries, and flower pens.

Some of my Sewing Creations

Gobble, Gobble!

I made this onesie for my nephew Kian.  I will have to find the picture of him in it and post it with these.  He was the cutest little turkey!

I love the suspender look! Too CUTE!

I love the checkered pattern on this onesie.  It looks like it would match well with baby converse.
I made these onesies for my friend Gabby.  Franco looks adorable in them.

Secretary and Nurse's Day Towel Cakes

Created lovingly for the Secretaries and Nurses at Liberty Elementary School

Gift Cards were later added to sit in the clear spoke in the center of  each of the towel cakes.

The towel cakes were made with one regular size hand towel and included 3 pens made into flowers.  They also had a handmade name plate that could be clipped anywhere they wished after having taken the towel cake apart. Many of the ladies left their cakes intact for weeks on their desks.

Some cakes also included nail files, hand sanitizer, and a body spray.

Baking in Terra Cotta Pots

Staff Appreciation Cupcakes

Yes, they were baked in terra cotta pots.  I added chocolate frosting for a dirt effect.

The ladies at work thought they were too cute to even eat.  I'm glad they enjoyed my craftiness.

Baby Shower Gift

This was a pre-made scrapbook I made for my sister in law to place pictures of my nephew throughout his first year.

I made sure to add a two page layout for every month.  The page with the month on it, was intended for a monthly picture, while the second page was intended to correlate with the holiday or event in which fell during that month.

To say the least, Mary LOVED IT! She has used it every month.
